Just started trapping this week. The day before thanksgiving I was blessed with my first coon! Used marshmallows and peanut butter on a DP trap. Shes currently roasting in the oven.

I will say it was much harder to flesh than deer hides I’ve done in the past. That could also be my makeshift fleshing beam (I will be ordering a real one). Just happy to be here and start trapping! Next I am getting some footholds for my cousins fox problem and some 110’s for squirrel.

A good fleshing knife is paramount. Everybody has their own opinion on whats best but like everything else you get what you pay for.
