I was able to finally get out for a hunt on the day before our firearm season opener. My first hunt, this guy came through, checking scrapes.
I decided to take him so I could get some meat in the freezer.
Gun season came and went without any activity at all. I never saw a deer during my gun season hunts, but it was still great to be able to be out there.
I thought this buck was the one tending the scrapes, and still do, but there is another one that now has those scrapes opened up much larger. He’s debarking much larger rubs also.
With my back surgery this Friday, my son will hunt this area in my absence.[Linked Image]
