How do you know the Lord doesn't like it?
Not all of it is trashy.

I believe God will take worship in any and all forms. People thinking like that is what drives a lot of folks from church instead of to it. "My preferred way of worship is the only acceptable way and everyone else is a heathen." When I hear people express that sort of a view it makes me hurt. You may not like it, but it may be the only worship to reach someone.

Music is more than just worship. There is nothing wrong with Christian music that simply turns our thoughts in a right direction or even just entertains. Christian music can even be love songs. It sure was in the old testament. And of course, the music of the Bible was done in and with the most modern instruments they had in the day.

Never forget there was a huge pushback against putting pianos in churches 200 years ago. After all, pianos were the musical instrument of the tavern first.
