What are small standard square Hay and Straw bales going for where you're at? They seem kinda crazy high around here at $10 and up for straw. I use them for bedding for my Beagles.

I just bought a truck load a few days ago at a local feed store, $8.00 a bale for hay.

Straw. Depends on if it’s supposively clean or really clean. $4-8.

Those prices ain't too bad, must just be this crappy city and county. I thought maybe the drought conditions were influencing the prices up.

1000 lb rice straw $25 each
2 string wheat 75 lb bales anywhere from $6.5- $10
3 string 100lb bales $12-$15

Right now, straw is mostly $4.00 a small square bale here in small amounts and $3.00 a bale in large amounts. You can usually get it off the wagons, immediately after baling for $1.00 to $2.00 a bale.

I got my horse hay for this winter for $5 per bale (2nd cutting grass w/clover). Wheat straw is at least $8 per bale. Not much wheat grown around here so straw is expensive.

$4.50 for either wheat straw or good hay.

Springfield mo bought some today to seed a lawn $7.50

As dry as its been this summer im suprised you can get hay that cheap. unless the first and second cuts were better elsewhere. 3td cuttings around here were bismal.

Mixed grass hay in small squares in southwest mo is going for roughly $6

I am talking about straw, not hay. Around here, wheat is only harvested once a year, in July.

I sell straw out of field in summer for $3 bale and once i stack it I sell for $5
