I'm on the side of swapping cards and inserting a replacement card in the field. Reformat the replaced card in the trail cam (lonely takes a few seconds) and your ready to go onto the next. Easy to view cards and save pictures at home on the computer. No need to delete, just reformat, gives you a nearly 'as new' card. With any card, over time, eventually past pictures will ghost through onto the new series of pictures which means it's time to replace the card with new.

A case similar to what jbyrd63 showed is a great way to keep track of your cards in the field and at the computer.

No..you don't. I have one of those. I'd give it to you if we were closer.

Runs off triple A batteries. Uses them up quickly.

You will be MUCH happier with 2 cards per camera. Swap in field. View at home on computer.

But...it's your $$$.

I'll trust You!

Lowdown viewer, the best I have found, works excellent in seconds, not minutes, only does SD cards, not a computer, hook to a tv in town or at the cabin. I take it into the tree stand and check what was there while I'm hunting. You can blow up the pictures, scan through them fast, save them to another smaller sd card, or just delete them and put the card back in the camera when your done looking at them. Works excellent and I use it remotely in Alaska, just needs to be charged first. Last for days too. 9 inch screen so you can see the pictures really well, then you can blow them up and also zoom in if you really want to know if it's a legal or not. We hook it up to a tv. at the cabin and share it with everyone after the hunt at night.

I've had ths one for over a year and its worked great. I check my cards, download pictures, then delete at the camera in the woods. All on my phone.

You guys got better eyes than me if you can see anything on a card reader or phone outside in the sun.

I’ve got one of these. I pull the card and import everything to my iPhone in 30 seconds. Each camera has its own folder in my alblum. Delete the card and throw it back in the camera. Entire process takes less than a minute. Only costs $10 too.

Use same cards in same camera. You'll save yourself some aggravation.

Interchanging cards between cameras, especially different brands of cameras, and using card readers to view pics causes glitches on the SD cards that eventually cause them to corrupt.

I still card swap too. I view either at home later or in the truck right away depending on how bad I need to see the pics. Either the laptop or tablet is with me in the truck. I like the bigger screen.

With today’s cell cams though, this is a bit archaic. You could have pics without even going in the woods. All depends on your situation.
