Anyone have pictures they care to share on how you set up your beaver boards for drying ?

I have an idea as to what I'm planning on building to try and keep more organized in my small space. Thinking I can position 12 boards in a 4 x 4 area, with enough space to allow the fan to dry properly. I'm using 48" x 32" plywood boards.

I'll try and take some pictures of what I build but would like to see others for ideas, Thanks

That should work as long as you can force air through.

Better to dry fur slower than faster. You will wind up with boardy/papery leather if you use a fan and heat.
Too much humidity is what causes pelts to take too long to dry,so a de humidifier would be better than heat and a fan

I get that, but I'm looking to keep organized, easy to have boards setting all over getting in the way, and I board on both sides of the plywood so need a place to set them spaced apart. I notice in most peoples pictures there space is a mess, I'm trying to keep that to a minimum. I'm running a control service and wanting to put up some furs in a small area so staying organized is crucial.

This is what I have in the corner of mine , 3 - 2x6 with slots cut in them one screw on the wall and the other two on the floor . I think I can get 8 boards in it with a total of 16 beavers on the boards . Excuse the mess I haven’t had time to sweep it out this summer . The notches are on 6” centers, the boards on the floor are 20”3/4 inches apart and the back board is 44” off the floor . The rack is also 5” off the back of the wall for good air circulation with the ceiling fans and a box fan I keep the air flowing . Hope it helps .[Linked Image]

I also board on both sides.I have nails I hang the boards on up high.the boards hang about 6 inches apart above my work bench,.All beaver boards have half inch hole drilled in each end in middle for hanging.

Looking for ideas online I came across Gibbs Adventures video, How to up your beaver pelt game. I have seen several of his videos and always enjoy what he has to add. Anyways, I do like his folding beaver put up table. Always wanting to find ways to save some room.

My set up is similar to Tommie's. I use fans and a dehumidifier and get pelts dry in about 3 days doing that way.

I have a 4 wheel cart I built. It will hold 5 beaver boards. With about 5" between boards. It has tracks on top and bottom and the boards will slide In and stay put. I can place my fan in front of the cart and have air moving over my drying hides.
The bed of the cart Is only about 18" wide. I originally built them for the strawberry farm to stack strawberry flats.
