Thats almost like an add I saw about taking a tree down and cutting it up for the owner for free.

Sadly he will likely get a few takers. The takers will educate the remaining beavers so when he finally decided he will have to pay a pro to solve the problem it will take much longer and mo money.

Sorta like a guy down here telling me I can trap his place and keep the furs and that would be payment. I referred him to a buddy that has less tact than I do and he embarrassed the guy. As far as I know he’s still having issues with predators and can’t get anyone to trap his place for furs. It’s gonna really cost him when he decides pay.

Like the golf course I trapped a couple weeks ago. Educated by 3 other paid trappers and I’m doing it for free. I told him that Korosil does wild life control for a living. He can clean em up without your patrons knowing, but it wouldn’t be cheap. Depends on how much he values the poplar lining some of the paths, fairways & greens. I got the big momma, but there’s one more left. It’s close to home so I told him I might come back in spring if I’m not tied up trapping near the shack where it’s a lot more fun.
Funny thing is, he asks me to make the beaver into a hoop and give him the skull back cleaned up……not a chance. Told him the hides going to auction and the skulls along a Trapline 40 miles away and I’d sell it to him for cheap if it’s still intact come spring time Also informed him that the hide might pay for 1.5 of the traps I had set out for him.

But come on guys on mountain man Marty makes enough to have a plane and snow mobiles fly all over Alaska have trapping cabins and make a good living off it. And Tom gets 350 out of a small beaver. And trappers are like the Amish and don't need as much money to live on as other people.

Lots of people trap for recreation and/or fur. Some people need a place to trap.

Not everything is an insult to ADC types.

Here in western Pa, folks would be tripping over each other to trap them. Lots of trappers, not a lot of beaver.
