That game went about as I expected. Michigan is a superior team on offence. But Iowa got robbed by another horrific call, it's unbelievable how bad the calls have been against Iowa this year. The ball was blown dead on an incomplete pass, everyone stops, and when the ball rolls to the feet of a Michigan player he picks it up and hands it to the ref. He later is given credit for a fumble recovery and the ball is given to Michigan on the 12 yard line.

What kind of war crimes did the Hawkeyes commit to have so many unbelievably bad calls go against them this year?

Of course Alabama and Georgia did not play lesser teams, all their wins came over better teams. Brilliant.

Iowa won 10 (11) games because they have one of the best, if not the best defense in the FBS. They are the 4th best team in the Big 10 and their defense is better than every single team in the SEC bar none.

based on what. The way stats are computed you can't tell. For decades the teams out west have been putting up stats on offense like crazy. But what happens when they run into the defensive teams. They lay eggs. If your oppenents can't score than of course you LOOK like you have a great defense. Same with offense. EVERY one can have an off game.

Throw Iowa just like they are into the SEC . This team this year would not have won 5 games. 3 at most vs SEC either division.

They get to play tenn in a bowl game. Not sure how many players on each side will stay home.

Who really cares, and what difference does any of this make? Football is fun to watch. Sometimes your favorite team wins, sometimes they lose. It's really kind of stupid to get much deeper than that.
