Long and short of it. If you look at Bama stats or Saban's stats on paper they are the best ever. Then look at the SEC. Yes someone will bring up stats from 1920-1975 .But those days of playing 5 games and the local politicians handing out chips are gone. Most important stats are ones that have been made in our lifetime. IMO. Of course if your conference hasn't had much success lately I guess all you have is to grasp onto are wins that happened 50- 100 years ago

I agree with Osky on this just because one player goes down doesn’t mean everything is lost the best example of this was Drew Bledsoe going down and Tom Brady stepping up to fill the role, at every level of sports there are times when’s players are needed to step up and take control.
