Almost 12 years to the day freaking out over my Daugher's eye again.
She was getting in the shower and washed her prosthetic eye and noticed bleeding and a black spot in the orbit of the eye (the negative place the eyeball sits). She comes out da! daddy! Somethings wrong with my eye look! I look it looks like a black eye contact in her eye (she's never worn them). The rest of the eye is red. Immediately get my boots on kids rush into the truck off to the er.
This is the same eye that had cancer. So you can imagine how mom and I are feeling right now

Update 12/14:

Update on my daughter, biopsy came back normal however the infection was caused by her growing out of her prosthetic eye. She will be going to NYC in the next 3-4 weeks to follow up with her cancer Dr and get her a new eye. Not sure on the dates yet. Dealing with getting everything coordinated and insurance. Sloan Kettering considers all patients who haven't been seen in 3+ years new patients, it's been 5 years. This time we aren't going into this in the dark and know what to expect.

So many flashbacks as I/we were dealing with this same stuff, yet here we are almost same time frame (Christmas week) years later getting all of this coordinated.

I have no words, when it comes to harm and kids well thats my weak spot, next is for parents that have kids with problems the parents are powerless to fix.
