Pelts going into freezer folded hair outside dry. Removal in about 6 weeks. Any reason to place anything between pelts? Paper, wax paper.

Not in my experience, long as they're dry.

I put my beaver in the freezer in the spring to hold until December. I have a mist bottle I spray the flesh side and rub the water around so every thing is damp then role up with flesh side in. Never have had a problem. You should not need anything extra if they are in the freezer for 6 weeks, just role up tight and get the air out of the bag you are putting them in.

IF they are dry - key words there.

If they are the least bit damp on the fur side, they can freeze together. I always separate mine with a piece of cardboard or white paper. Similar to freezer paper but not coated like freezer paper.

And if it is not a frost free freezer, I always put a layer of cardboard on the bottom and sides to keep frost that forms on the plastic walls from sticking to the fur.
