Anybody use it? I start my beard 1st of November and shave it off valentines day Anyway it gets kinda frizzy about now. A friend of my wife gave me some beard wax a couple of years ago. Smells kinda stale now and I was wondering about mixing some kind of scent to it. I do have to make some public appearances so NO fox pee or beaver caster would NOT BE APPROPRIATE. just
If they don't like beaver castor, do you really want to associate with them in the first place?

haven't shaved in 25 years but I can't help with wax or oil I use nothing , just trim it down a bit every 4-6 months.

I gotta use it for a few days right after a big trim job. Once it gets a little memory to it, then I'm back to low maintenance (Think Fonze lookin in the mirror).

I haven't shaved since Nov 71, Just keep it trimmed, don't use anything on it.

I haven't shaved since Nov 71, Just keep it trimmed, don't use anything on it. You both have me beat I shaved mine off 4 years back when mom went in for cancer surgery. She hates my beard so I wanted to make her happy before she went into surgery. I keep it clean shaven about 7 months so have/had 3 years worth of growth at least untill I burnt 4" off this summer lighting my bee smoker and some more recently with my outdoor wood burner. I use beard balm to tame it down when needed and wax for my mustache to keep it out of my mouth and to get that 3" handle bar to stay. Oils are to thin for me and wax to thick for the beard. I'm not a big fan of smelly stuff. When it's new it's over powering. When it gets old they are not as bad. I told my wife who used to make my beard balm we should make a doe in heat sent for deer season
