I like a bit of snow. Some years God gets a bit angry though.

Snowshoeing in the bush in midwinter is the most peaceful thing on earth. might be for you... crunching through dry leaves is better   However, can’t sneak up on deer or squirrels on crunchy leaves

I like the first couple of days or so. But then it turns into brown slush and mud for a month after that and thats the bit I don't like at all

Frankly, I love the cold and snow.  I was in Iraq for three summers; never again.  If I never had to suffer another summer again I would love it.  The only thing I would miss would be girls in bikinis.

I  hate  it  when a  beaver stob hangs  up  through the mesh The best and probably most thoughtful Christmas present I ever received was a pair of handmade snowshoes. My parents got them for me when I was thirteen or so and I lived on those things as a kid. Ash with rawhide webbing. They're fifty years old and retired.
