Any value in depleted alkaline batteries?
I've about a hundred aa & aaa depleted batteries. Somewhere I heard they are salvageable. Don't remember who or where I got that info from.

Not really, toss in regular trash. Recycle rechargable batteries however. I think most Home Depots have bins for them. Mine does.

Here is a battery tip you can use on your dead batteries. Use a car battery to recharge them by holding the negative on the negative post, and run a wire to the positive post on the truck battery, when the battery is warm its charged, it only takes a few seconds. It might blow up in your face if you do it too long.

The last time I turned in AA batteries from my game cams the guy tossed them in the trash the last time I did anything with them.

That link above in Tommyran's post is great! I am a pathological recycler and used to take all my battery's to the VA, but they ended the program for some reason. Now I have some places to check out. The chemicals in Battery's have value and can be reused to make new battery's.
