I hunt with SXS exclusively. Love the look, feel and that quick 2nd shot, and the choice of choke.

It's a cute video. The guys crap on each other about their choices in guns among other things and gets into the nuanced differences between shooting SxSs and O/US.

I like and have both as well as semi-auto's, all shotguns are fun to shoot. I like the SxS's, kind of a nostalgia thing.

I had a Belgian Browning A5 in 20 gauge that I killed a lot of ducks with. Wish I hadn't sold it. I've owned O/U shotguns. Maybe someday I'll give them another try.

I figure it is some midwestern redneckish type thing where a pump just feels right in the hands

them SxS sure are purdy though

I am sure it has to do with what a shotgun looked like for us as kids
my grandpas looked just like this, great uncles also an Ithaca 37 and my dads was an 870
first living thing I shot with a gun was a squirrel with grandpas M37 and I was hooked.
the farmers choke of choice full , if you needed it dead full was getting it done as far as it could be done aim better if you needed a more open choke.

I am sure it has to do with everyone with a gun that I respected as a kid had a pump and they made game happen.

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

I use a 311 also, in 20ga. Works great for upland bird and rabbit hunting. Super easy to carry.

I've owned a Model 37 or two over the years. They're a fine gun.

One carries better in the field and thickets, and the other shoots better on clay targets. Both are great.

They're all good. My choices currently:
Fausti o/u 12
Fox s/s 20
Ithaca m37 20

I will say that there is a really nice feeling when you're in quail country with a s/s 20.

I have a Remington SXS I think its an 1894 model. Needs a new stock MY great grandpa broke the stock over his coon hound for running a rabbit. It was cobbled back together and needs repaired. I was amazed at the auto eject. I carried it in the woods as a 10 year old squirrel hunting. Had a stevens 20 gauge 311 but when the Fox squirrel population exploded it got sold. Money for shells was too hard to come by and old tough fox squirrel would run off after hitting the ground. Hard to kill them in a over 100 foot tall hickory.

Beautiful guns. Just never could quite get comfortable behind one. Maybe someday if I end up shooting across pond at driven birds I’ll get to give them a good trial. I’ll have to stick to my current group of O/Us for time being

I have a strait stock on an 870 lw 20 and like it. I have been looking at the czs also. But I have 3 .sxs and several pumps and semi's and don't hunt with a shotgun but a few times a year. It's one of those I really don't need another one things. Kind of like walking by .22 bullets at the store. I have more than I will.shoot in my life bit can't not buy more .

A.H. Fox? I had one in twenty gauge. Sold it to a buddy because I thought the thirty inch barrels were too long. He wouldn't sell it back to me. Another blunder on my part.

I prefer over/unders myself but have owned a few side-by-side’s in the past. My dad was fond of saying that shooting a side-by-side was like pointing your whole hand at something instead of just your finger.

Maybe some of his bias rubbed off on me. grin

I prefer the sxs, for me the second shot is easier, I’m sure if I worked with o/u I could do it, used to use dads western field until the barrels started to get thin and retired the old girl.

Only if I travel fir them. Same with doves. Here’s it ls more ruffed grouse, woodcock, ducks and crows. Certain conditions might have me with auto loader or pump though.

I hunt Grouse and Woodcock. For the last 25 or so years it has been sxs mostly in 20 ga. This year as I was looking for a new gun I handled an O/U for the first time in years, after looking at it a few times over a month or so. It came home with me. It has been the only gun I have carried this year.

I use them all. O/U, SxS, pumps and even a couple of auto's but they need to be "cute". I like unusual chamberings such as 16, 28 and 410. My old 11-48 Remington 28 gauge is my turkey gun and is choked TIGHT. My old 870 16 with a modified choke fits like a glove and works well for many things.

I have nothing clever to put here.

I shoot all types of shotguns. Prefer semis and pumps for waterfowl and home defense, o/u when shooting competition clays and skeet, and sxs in the small gages for upland birds.
