Pretty much do I live along the border Lake of the Woods,growing up at the farm you could go upstairs in the winter and see Canada.Beltrami forest is a big woods maybe 80 miles by 60 miles.

There are bobcat s some, no Marten though

Fishers now- Yes

The limit is two per person on marten or fisher ,Scott has caught fishers so we will focus more on marten.The limit on bobcats is 5 per person,cat season is about 35 days marten and fisher has a 9 day season.They have some bobcat down where Scott lives,but hasn't caught one yet,hoping to change that.

I had a blast when I was up there and Rick was a great host. Seen lots of real-estate and even learned a thing or two along the way. Wish I was going along for the ride with you guys!

Beltrami Island state forest is a hair over 700,000 acres, add in Red Lake WMA on the south end at a touch over 300,000 and it's a big chunk of real estate. Only sad part is there isn't hardly a deer left in it unless near the ag areas.

You will learn a few things,but before you go back home I have the Men in black gun so you won't remember anything,you'll get home and wonder where the bobcat and marten came from,I'll write down the locations so you can register them lol.

Drive safe Scott,hope to see you by noon or there about,almost everything is done,other than baiting the marten boxes and loading all the footholds and drags,waxed dirt,dry leaves and buckwheat hulls.We might take in a hockey game tomorrow evening,then HIT IT HARD in the morning.

Be careful guys, there are still quite a few bird hunters in the woods , warm weather and decent bird population.

Will do Rally I don't use body grips for cats,120's and 155's all on trees or leaning poles.Foothold's and snares for the cats.I agree there are a few birds out there,I've only saw one bird hunter.
