Industrial shelving is expensive but worth it it’s a 1X investment look for a scrap or a place that handles building clean outs or surplus industrial items. Here Mac’s hardware always has shelving in the parking lot lots of it.

Thanks for this Bernie, I feel better now. I've gotten to where all that stuff is at least relegated to the corner of one workbench. I tried sorting all the random hardware into bins, but realized I probably 1. Won't ever need it, 2. Won't remember I have it if I do need it, and 3. It's quicker and easier just to go to the hardware store and get what's needed than to waste a bunch of time looking for it, or find out you have 5 of something, but need 6, etc.

I've been looking at lvl beams to make a mezzanine in my pole barn. They aren't to expensive and some upper storage would solve a lot of issues with my currently overflowing shelves. Still toying with the cost/benefit on that approach.
