Needed some late season extreme cold gear for all-day sits in the tree. After looking at everything else, i stumbled across Skre. I purchased their late season Guardian jacket and bibs...warmest I have ever been in a tree. Its goose down and it flat works for me. They also have base layers and lighter jackets/gear. For sizing, they send them...if they dont fit, you send them back at their expense and theyll keep doing that until you are satisfied....no questions asked. Talked to them on the phone twice before ordering and they were great to deal with...cant say enough.

I have whatever their base layers are with the quarter zip top. And just because I’m from the South doesn’t mean I don’t hunt other States. Some of us have all our teeth and actually have decent paying jobs. Bought most of my hunting clothes just for the PNW and Western States.

I think Steve Rinella bought that company a few years ago. I bet with a quick search on the internet you can find a direct email address to him. Tell him you are a long time member of trapperman.com. He is a trapper. I bet it will make a difference.

All I can say is I was born and raised in western NY, and then spent a decade in the awful windswept tundra of IL, but only once have I been colder than I've been since moving to MS, and that was when I got stuck in the snow in a blizzard in IL and had to walk home in work clothes. 30 degrees down here feels twice as cold as zero degrees in NY felt due to the 100% humidity that accompanies it. When I lived in NY I could hunt all day in a sweatshirt and cheap walmart blaze coat, here I wouldn't last 20 minutes in that if it's "cold" out.

I know companies evolve and change so I hate to see this. I’ve had great luck with First Lite and their long underwear. I have 4 pair. Three of which are at least 8 years old. I had an issue with a pair of light weight bottoms that wore thin and became holey. First Lite replaced them and provided a 50% off coupon for my next purchase. I hope your experience is not what the future of their company looks like but we have all seen quality companies take a turn for the worse.

You may have some recourse with them if you paid with a credit card.

I have tubs of first lite. It’s all my sons and I wear. Awesome company and high quality clothes!!! I’ve tried em all… I have Sitka stuff I never wear because I like the first lite so much better. I hv a set of furnace base layer that I’ve had for years and wear it constantly. It looks like the day I bought it. Is their stuff cheap? No… but worth every penny. I have a lot of friends that I talked into buying their stuff, none have regretted anything they bought from them.

So I buy a set, wore them 5 times max and the elastic band falls apart and they considered that " normal wear and tear"?
Sadly, once a company gets big enough and sells millions of $ worth of merchandise, thier customer service goes to crap.
I know several guys that have spent 1000s of $ on their stuff and are happy.
This is all i bought from them and will never spendanother dime on them!.

Heck yes I love my nephew. He ain’t blinded by jealousy. Killed more deer than CWD. Ain’t never stretched his long handles after 4-5 trips. Don’t think he has ever humped a pumpkin. Unless he got it liquored up first

You're good so long as you waist size doesn't exceed your leg length. 30 x 28 would indicate a problem. It's a rule of thumb I learned from Queer Eye for the Straight Guy. They helped me become the fashion icon I am today.
