Do they still have bayonet training in the military? I did with an M-14 in 1964.

We had it in 1967 at Fort Lewis. We trained with M-14s.


Immigrants who bypassed legal process in migrating to the US demand legal process before being kicked out.

I did it in 1996 BCT and I BELIEVE they still do.

Depends where you go , MOS and if they have any extra time. Most POG BCT's won't waste the time I went in.....what 2016 I think and we didn't even do combatives

We did too. But, we also used bayonets an a training course with dummies in basic and AIT.

Absolutely. I had a fixed bayonet in Iraq.

Carried the 249 in Iraq and m16 w/ 203 in Afghanistan was enough weight lol left the bayonet in the ruck or on the vest

Dang, I missed out. I guess they figured a tank mechanic didn't need to know how to use a bayonet.

We did have to qualify with M16's, the M60 and hand grenades.
