I have not been on here in quite a while but I caught a female badger on one of the farms I trap. Owner had know idea that one was around and I have only seen 2 others growing up here. This was caught in a dirt hole bridger dogless Num 2. Plus I picked up a young female coyote on my farm num2 duke dirt hole set. I plan on having the badger mounted. It took me about a half hour filling the crop circle back in with my little trapping shovel. [Linked Image]

I caught one today in a victor #1 longspring at a skunk set. Don't tell the farmer but I turned it loose. Big old sucker but no where near prime

Congrats Justin! Make sure you post pics of the mount when you get it back. That’s one thing on my list that I have never caught. Love to get one someday….

I have released bobcats but i would think a badger can be a challenge getting them stretch out enough not to get bit with the short front legs

That circle was about 6foot in diameter and roughly 10inches deep I got it all shoveled back in and remade the dirthole just to see what happens. I have a pipedream about 10 foot from it as a backup. I did not realize how skunky they smell. This farm is lousy with bobcat and I finally drew a tag this year so I'm waiting patiently

The ones I have released have been quite docile. The one this morning was easy being a #1 longspring I just pushed the spring down with the realse pole, didn't even have to rope him. Took him about a minute after I released the spring for him to even pull his foot out

And to think I get worried about some catch circles coyotes make in fields down here, lol.

Blasphemy!!!!

It doesn’t matter what I’m hunting, if I see a badger I’m badger hunting!

If nothing else, they make good pets!

This guy wasn't in the trap very long but still did a number on the yard even if it was with one arm tied behind his back!

I see quite a bit of badger sign here. I’ve seen a few but I’ve just caught one.

I'm itchin' to see a coyote twitchin'.

More trappin' and less yappin'.

We have a few around here where I trap early November, it’s high country for us,5000 feet plus. They make a mess!

Here is one in a 120 marten set, that one was a surprise.

Hate catching those stinking things. Always a bomb crater to fill in. I have caught 13 already this year.

Came across one in Kansas many years ago while trying to maneuver on a gobbler. This one wasn’t too friendly. We had the same cedar in mind to get to and he let me know that particular tree wasn’t for me. Cool critter!
