Well, after reading AKHowlers stuff and a few mentioning that solid anchors are used, drag’s certainly aren’t required. Would’ve had a better chance of hanging on but there’s a different reason I had a bad catch.

You don’t take the feet & head to clean up? Skulls are always worth money, and I thought the indigenous peoples in your area would do something with the claws?

I will pick up the skull next summer.I normally give them away after skinning or pick them up at the jackpot in summer,some people like messing with boiling and cleaning them up.i give one guy a couple buckets of different skulls each season
Got lots of claws,tanned feet and legskins.I dont collect skulls for myself.
