Many hours spent there over the years visiting Neal and Al! I love the smell of burning spruce---I love the sound of a spring time goose---I love the feel of 40 below---from my trapline I will never go!

I would always tell my wife that I was just going to run in real quick and then I would get some crusty looks after I would come back out an hour later lol

Couple of small explosions and the knowledge that "chemicals" were present. My son (Eielson FD) was one of the responders. He managed the water transfer site to keep FFD's elevated platform supplied with water. At peak, he was getting 1000 gallons per MINUTE to the platform via tender. Those of you who have carried your domestic water in 5 gallon buckets will be impressed! Pete
