What a great Christmas story.

You know I can't remember things that happened last month, but remember with clarity the early years I spent in the woods trapping and hunting. So everyone is right when they say he will never forget this time in his life.

I hope dakidsmn posts updates about how this boy's trapline goes for all of us to follow.

As a young man starting out, my mentor gave me a small pile of traps to help get me started. Wow what a moment that was!
I have most of those traps still, and they have been well taken care of. They are priceless to me. The only way they'll ever leave my possession is when I find a kid starting out who needs them. The only "price" will be for him to listen to a sermon about what those traps meant to me over the years, and where I expect for them to go when he's done with them just like how he got them.
