My marital bliss would be very compromised if I were to refer to my wife as "ole lady".

Coonman, if the castor is green cut it up and put it pure petroleum jelly an d stir it up. All I’ve ever used, no need to complicate things.

I would not want him to get a grip and squeeze me. Just sayin. LOL

Besides I do not want Sandy upset, I need her help with a project in the near future.

Here is the secret to marital bliss. A husband needs to purposefully screw up about every 6-8 weeks. Not marriage ending screw up, just something mildly untoward, like slipping up and refer to her with a not so endearing name.
When you do this, she will be mad at you about that for a short while, but interestingly enough, she will stop nitpicking you about all of those minor stupid things wives like to do. This period of calmness will last you about 6-8 weeks, requiring another minor screw up. Wash, rinse, repeat.
37 years and running. Works for me.
BTW, when you do steal her food processor, don't leave it anywhere that she will see it. That apparently is a step above a "mildly untoward."
And don't ever let her overhear you telling the stolen food processor story while referring to her as "the ole lady."
