Wife picked this industrial machine up at the local thrift store, $30 on sale for $15…lol. Works but there’s a local guy that’ll come down and tune it up for $40 plus parts. She says it looks like her moms that she’s used to sew fur with. Not sure if you can tell by the pic, but will this work for making stuff with fur?

Looks like a converted treadle machine. You'll need leather needles, and hopefully the motor has enough power to get through the hide.

If its like my bonis machine the footpedal engages the clutch.

Very nice machine but not remotely a leather sewing machine.

if you an use the foot treadle you can slowly sew fur

the leather drive belt is your weak link as it takes the pressure, you can only splice it so many times

Haven’t picked it up yet, pretty sure it weighs half a ton.

if it is 1/2 ton then the scrap metal it is worth $ 150 at todays rate

I think you will want a walking foot. Just getting into fur / leather sewing myself.

It won't make the right stitch for sewing fur. I'm not sure the bulk of fur will even feed properly under the foot.

Ditto on this, it'll be almost impossible to do a decent looking job sewing fur with a fabric feeder. You can attempt it, but you'll have a learning experience.

Going to be a nightmare sewing fur with that. Can be done but it is not a fur machine

Google or U-Tube fur sewing and you will readily see the difference, fur machines have a clamp runner feeder that holds the seam up while the looper makes an over locking stitch !!

The only thing they’ve sewed is a beaver pillow. They’ve probably never seen something like this…..pretty cool. It’s amazing that this guy can thread the needle and set this thing up! I’d be swearing without shakey hands!
