Down here, 5 years is about the accepted norm for a buck to reach "mature" status but the older they get the more likely they are to grow a bigger set of antlers.

What quality of feed does that one have in his little pocket?
If he has access to high protein food sources that will make a difference in what he can achieve

All that said, if a deer is legal and you are happy to have taken it, shoot it.

I agree with swamp wolf, he’s mature and next to a road so he has a better chance of getting slammed by a vehicle

As bucks age and gain dominance,, they tend to move around, chances are he won't be there next year.

He will get bigger if he stays alive,not hit by a car or another hunter wolves etc.around here are best bucks are 6.5 to 7.5 year old bucks,but we have good ag crops for them.Very few make it to 5.5 years up here from hunters,wolves and being hit by cars.

Lots of things could happen, most of them mentioned in earlier posts.

Smart money would get after him now and show us the pics with your smiling face behind him.

Would be nice to see some pictures of the body if your deer. It’s usually going to be easier to judge age by looking at the body profile more than at the horns.
With that said, the mass of the horns and blocky looking head and nose makes this look like a mature deer.
