So we left Cape Canaveral Florida yesterday on our cruise and man these seas are ROUGH!
Winds last night were 60kts and there were times we were almost thrown out of the bed. I fully expected the ships alarm whistles to sound off. Think they said 15ft waves.

Today isn’t as bad with 30kt winds and less than 10ft seas. First stop to Nassau was cancelled today. Next stop to the DR is still scheduled. At least we eating good, lol.

Ships are not for me I went salmon fishing in Lake Michigan in a boat once in rough water it messed with my head. If I did go on a cruise I’d be broke the 2nd day and gain 20 pounds from boredom. LOL

Carnival Vista. Think it’s one of their older boats. But cruises are cheap and my wife is a Platinum cruiser so no waits and a little special treatment.
My favorite was with Royal Caribbean, Oasis of the Sea. Think we have a Royal cruise next June.

Never been on one nor want to be. Some lines Wanna Be this man won't step over. I don't eat that much and don't drink so a man can only play so much shuffle board. Nov, Dec and Jan are for trapping.

Don’t base this post on a normal cruise. My wife has been on dozens with an “s” and this is the roughest she’s ever experienced. But, this is our first December cruise too.

Don't Ever Book a cruise when there is a Waxing moon....You will have rough sea's and miss Ports.

Always book a cruise on a Waning moon phase.

Rough or not, I feel caged when I can't take off and go as I please. Don't care how big the boat is

Never seen the need for a boat ride that A) ain't for the purpose of catching something or B) for getting someplace the truck won't go. This riding around in circles just to ride a boat or look at crap makes no sense whatsoever.

Just north of Atlanta is a big reservoir lined with half mile long docks with 100' houseboats tied up by the hundreds. And the kicker, there ain't no lock through the dam and the river upstream is canoe water. Fools spending millions to ride on circles if at all.

Sounds like watching a Nascar race.

We did an Alaskan cruise a few years ago. It was a lot of fun. I'd go again.

Doubt that was the even on her mind last December when she booked it, lol. I don’t mind giving up a week of my time to spend with the wife. Although, my son informed me I missed a heck of a guest on yesterday’s quail hunt. Some guy from Obsession Bows that passed him a lot of knowledge on archery equipment. What’s crazy is he said the guy never once bashed any other company or competitor out there.

Is 15 foot big water down there? In Ak three of us launched a 17 foot inflatable off a sand beach on Kanaga Island, and ran out about three quarters a mile to the ship picking us up in 20-25 foot seas. Just off the beach and the second wave comes over the front and we had three inches of water running over the transom. But the further we went the more had drained out. The up and down when we were at the ship is timed the exact opposite for the ship and the skiff. When we went up the ship was going down and when the ship came up we were going down.

That’s wanting to kill something bad, lol! Yeah, 60kt winds are bad to me. Getting bumped outa my bed is bad to me too, lol.

Well the ship made up for the rough weather last night…they had an 80’s Rock and Glow party on the outside deck! Nothing but 80’s music and dancing! Some guy asked CJ how he knew all these songs and he said that’s all my dad listens too. Heck, I leave it going on the TV for the dogs when we leave.
We have another day at sea then hit Amber Cove in the Dominican Republic Tuesday. We’ll probably get off there and Grand Turks on Wednesday.
We have internet so I’m able to keep up with my deer on camera. Only have 4 weeks left and we have about 4-5 we’re hoping make it through the season. My son has one who’s wintering area is right next to a highway and he’s slowly moving feed and cameras away trying to get him back to the interior where he’ll eventually head back to. They killed another 20 does or so over Friday to today. About to hit our limits. We have some hunters we’re going to let deer hunt in January. Hoping they kill a few does at least as well. This will be a first for us letting clients deer hunt, but it makes money so we’ll see how it goes.
