Wow. I expected to come on here to find the cats moved for everybody last night. I caught 4 today! Biggest a 31 pounder. One i had just snared, he tried to climb the tree when I got there, then choked out quick. Saw lots of wolf fresh wolf tracks, it snowed a dusting yesterday. Saw one more small bobcat track that thankfully missed one of my sets

A 30mph winds in heavy woods don't mean squat.

Heck, I've called in coyotes several times in 40± winds in wide open prairies.

I caught a cat this year on a cat toilet I made using scat from domestic cats. Raided my niece's cat litter box. This might also be an option by the scratching post.

Just got home,yes they do have a scratching tree just like bears have rubbing tree's and scratch trees.When Scott was up I showed him a scratch tree,we made a rub set next to it and a cubby set also,the cat hasn't been back through yet.

Good morning,temps warmed up during the night 21 now and much lighter winds.In a few hours I'll find out if the big track bobcat came back or not,he's due any day now.Later today we need to go to town and register the martens,then later this evening take in another hockey game.Have a great day everyone,good luck to the trapper's that have a few bobcat sets still out.

I too have shot plenty of coyotes in terrible winds in the west. In those conditions I try to call more in cut country using electronics.
The dogs I get at that time always seem to be old dogs. I do not know why that would be.

No cats today,snared one fox and caught one weasel,I have 5 weasel boxes out now.Lot's of wolf track's today in 3 different places.

The wolves were back here again last night. The raven's are squawking like crazy behind the house so I better go for a walk and check things out.
