Are you subject to the Bill C 21 gun bans?

I dont know,I still got all the guns i always had and use.
All legal.
I think that ban is for handguns and army machine guns.

I talked to our CFO yesterday, she said I certainly had a chance of getting a wilderness carry permit for my little Bersa 22. Better chance of that happening than getting a transfer of a pistol approved. She said they’re still happening but incredibly few, I ain’t no Olympic shooter and have no desire to start shooting those things. She also said the info she just gave me, might change at anytime.

Seems to be the only way you can buy or sell a pistol is with the ATC. Are you gonna get both? Dispatch and protection?
I never renewed my ATC a couple years back. Found it more of a pita. Wish I would of kept it up now.

When I renewed my ATC in July I was told that the dispatch option was no longer available

That sucks. Never made sense to me that someone could use their pistol for dispatch but I'd be a criminal for target practicing on my farm with mine. Stupid laws by stupid people that are voted in by idiots.

I wonder why they’d remove “dispatch” from the conditions? That’s the only reason I’d apply to carry. CFO did mention “defence & dispatch” though.

When I did mine they wanted a 357 sig or bigger for protection and 22 for dispatch. Things have changed in the last 10 year so who knows. Guy I work for just applied for his so I will ask. There was some gray area on transport of a restricted fire arm via quad or snowmobile as well as how you carried it on your person. In the end it became more of a pain.
