what yall think about some gophers down a dirt hole for ol wiley c , we know they like um, i trapped some in the yard , got um froze , i think im gonna try some or parts of some down a hole just seems a natural good bait they should like anyway....... watcha think

Long as it's legal, go for it! I'd put a dab of lure with it also.

I’ve been told many commercial trapping baits are pocket gopher based. Should work just fine

I don't know what your temps are now where you are trapping, but natural baits like that may not last very long if the temps are mild. Most rodents are good bait if they hold up structurally.. However, rodents in particular begin to break down and decompose quickly and will draw ants. If it remains cold you will be fine until they get fairly rotten then they will lose some of their attraction, except for a rolling response.

Use gophers for a nice change up and had good luck with them. Natural baits like gophers are great for this year's pups in a dirt hole or step down sets. Just are sure your holes are deep so they have to work at it.

Had a guy tell me he used a gopher to catch coyotes with good results
