Well I experienced it for the first time and was a success . I cut lacing and soaked till good and wet then wrapped implement handles made of wood to hold steel . I read that it stretches 10% and I pulled so hard that I could not believe it did not break .It dried as hard as iron .I have kept some around for years and have used it for many repairs . I have some screwed to a broken chainsaw handle that has been on there for 15 years ,good for hinges too .This is the first time I used it wet to bind when it dries .
