Found some toilets at a new spot I'm trapping. I'm anticipating having otters again this year at another location. My question is how long is the otter poop good for for use at other locations. My plan is to take from one pond and put at another was thinking about sealing in a mason jar.

No need as otters are very curious critters. Use a skunky predator call lure. Make double dirthole sets if you can anchor there. Use no bait.

I do that some myself. I think it's good or several days...the fresher the better. I have also poured a little shellfish oil into the turd and they seem to find that extremely interesting to get a good sniff of.

My fear of moving stairs is escalating!
