I'm pretty sure Hal/Bill Bill's nieces are on the user list thereby qualifying them to be my neighbors.

I would move to an area between AKHowler and BOCO. A lot of uninhabited area between us though but I would extend a long line each direction and we could meet in the middle a couple times a year!

It will take me a bit to wrap my head around this and limit to a reasonable number. One person I can say would be welcome anywhere near me anytime would be Posco. There are certainly a lot of good folks on here that would make life and living interesting but I think Posco could keep the whole neighborhood grounded and thinking straight.

I’ll be honest, there’s no one on here I wouldn’t want to live next to. Even some of our liberal friends would probably make good neighbors.

Speaking of neighbors and neighborhoods, we just got back from a week vacation and had a young lady coming several times a day to check on our dogs.
We had some local workers in doing some bathroom remodeling.
And we had some locals doing some work in the backyard.
Everyone that needed access inside had their own code to the door.
Nothing went missing and all our neighbors knew what was going on.

Now what they didn’t know is my neighbors had them in their crosshairs just incase they walked out with more than they came in with, lol. Really couldn’t ask for a better neighborhood or neighbors. But we always welcome new folks. Like my wife said, you may show up a stranger, but you’ll leave either as a friend or in the back of an ambulance. All depends on the attitude, lol.

I am trying to figure out why anyone would want to live in a neighborhood. I'll pass and live in the country, as I do now.

this was all for fun , what makes us all unique is where we are from all different parts of the state and country

if we all actually lived in the same place it would loose some of the differences of the areas we come from and the fishing holes would get crowded.

I think in this neighborhood it's more likely that you get the call at 02:30 , I have coyotes in the south pasture , Crow when I shoot watch your north and see if you can pick off some more.
as long as you can get to yours in short order it will be OK.

In my neighborhood we’ll let the others know when we’re sighting in deer rifles. We’ll also let them know in advance of possible middle of the night shots at garbage can raiders. Those are normally done by the suppressed neighbors.
We have a neighborhood cookout during fireworks and used to let LEO’s know so they wouldn’t come in trying to break up the party. They’d just show up first and get their food and head to another part of the county and take their time getting to the noise complaints if there were any.
Maybe it’s just the small town, big county atmosphere and neighborhood combined that I like. Right now the yards are filled with boys (and girls) running back and forth with nerf guns. No one worries or cares about the kids running back a forth. We’ve had some issues with folks speeding down the roads, but a polite talk and they haven’t sped down the road again. It seems if you let folks know what would happen to them if they hit a youngun and it changes how and where they drive.
