All depends just where your asking about, I lived in the Mora pine city area and there were always a fair number around go south towards he city and it thins out and fewer short tails and more long tails
Find yourself a bushy area, swampy area ect and start setting box’s, back in the day I would save up the half gallon milk cartons cut a hole in the bottom slide a trap in and bait then close the top, anything bloody works for bait, if you have access to a quantity of blood running a line up and down leading to the box will pull them in
Some good information in the archives and their not hard to trap

Our weasel population right around here has actually been pretty low the last 5-6 years. I used to see them and catch them fairly often and it is unusual to see much for sign any more.
I have nothing clever to put here.

Seems a bit cyclical. In the north its brush piles natural or otherwise. Big old wooden rat trap screwed to the base of a tree and bait it. Osky

check the areas nightlife describes above, and only set on sign. their home ranges are small, and youll see action quickly. if you dont have anything laying around for bait, get a tub of chicken livers from the grocery store, add a few drops of anise extract, and stir and replace the lid, and place in the fridge for a couple days to allow the scent to penetrate the livers. any skunky lure outside the box will help if you have it on hand. if youre looking to buy weasel lure, you cant go wrong with lenons. Not much for sign right now as there is little to no snow but once you have an idea of what kind of area they like it’s not hard to locate them and rat traps are cheap so you can always saturate an area or even just move them around if you want to
