Zilebesiran is used to treat high BP based on a study led by researchers from Queen Mary University of London and Barts Health NHS Trust. It's given as an injection under the skin every 3-6 months.
Study found that a single injection of the medication safely and effectively lowered BP in adults with mild to moderate hypertension for up to 6 months. Injection is mostly effective on reducing the systolic BP pressure.

That is a decent option, at least a person wouldn’t have to takes pills everyday.

I don't mind taking a pill every day. It's simple and easy. Not a big deal IMHO. I take 3 others a day anyway.

Better off lowering your carb intake and reduce your HBP naturally rather than just hide the symptoms of diabetes. That way you wont have a heart attack or stroke later.

WORST thing about an injection is if it don't agree with you cant take it out. A pill you can at least stop taking it.

Not watching the news had the same effect on me

I had mild HBP. I Quit carbs which helped lower my body weight by 15%. My BP is down, no more BP meds.

Bacon is healthy food. Drugs, maybe not so much.

Just lower your sugar intake with the goal to all but eliminate it. increase water intake. Do something, anything.

It amazes me how doctors tell us to lower meat intake, watch your cholesterol intake, give out hip and cholesterol meds like candy and never say squat to anyone about diet. Kinda says something doesn't it?

I personally believe the cholesterol lowering meds is why we have such an increase in low T in men. Cholesterol is the building block of testosterone. You can't have a brick house without bricks just like you can't have testosterone without cholesterol.

It all boils down to people being brats and not wanting to do what needs to be done as we get older.

Beets do help lower BP. Beet juice is even better.

Personally, I wouldn't get the injection, it's too new. Not enough study done on it. Same reason I never got the covid shots.
