Bot a 30-30 in 1959 when I was 13. $79.95. About 35 deer later only rifle.

25-35, my first deer rifle that my dad bought for me used, 58 years ago. Don't shoot it too much anymore but still a very nice rifle.

The one I'm looking to buy is a 1950 in .32 Special with a Redfield peep on it. I think I'll put a Lyman on it.

Yes, gcs, a 336 is close enough. I had one in .30-30 and .35 Remington years ago. Should have kept them.

32 spcl. Bought it in '61 or '62,.. proceeds from the paper route. I almost forgot about about that hooded front sight. It came off the first season, dragging it through the brush, and saw no need to replace it.

Love it. 1965 in 30-30. My favourite gun for a late morning walk during season. Also great for bear. Every bear I’ve shot has gotten a “double tap”. So fun, fast and accurate to shoot fast…..and I don’t like tracking wounded bear.

94 Trapper with 16" barrel 30-30 with Williams 5D peep sight.

First gun my dad bought me was a .357 mag model 94 trapper. Killed many many a hog with it. Gave it to my boy when he started running hogs with dogs; he's kilt a mess with it as well. Also have a 30-30 trapper, but it kicks like a dang mule.

Rossi 92 stainless 16" in 44 magnum for me. Perfect truck gun and for thick woods.

Painted the brass front sight white otherwise stock.

Yep, never cared for the Win lever. Love the history but that skinny forend never fit. Marlin, perfect.

I use 6mm remington! Works great, not much kick great for a starter gun!

I have yes. I have a first year of production Winchester long Tom lever in 30-30. It has resided in the gun room for many years now.

I use a Marlin 94 in 45 Colt. Manufacture date was 1997- the year I graduated college. Love that rifle. Carry it and a Ruger Super Blackhawk, also in 45 Colt. 335gr hardcast on top of a full dose of H110 and it’ll take anything I ever come across.

I'll give ya $100 for the rifle then,lol.

1951Winchester 94 and late model Winchester 94 AE big loop, both in 30-30

Just wacked a doe with mine this past season. 30-30 cal. It's a great brush gun. Shot her right under my stand straight through the heart. She never took a step and just dropped. I have iron sights and my tired old eyes are good up to about 100 yards.

I have, My father bought his when he got out of the Navy in 1944 amd I have it now, as each of us boy got big enought we got the same thing. All 32 special I have 3 of them all early gums plus I have others of different calibers. but most of the time I hunt with a 742 in 308.

Sold mine made in 1970... Went with a few other tack drivers but wish i had kept it

Its funny that whenever I read about guns the words " sold it " The next sentence is " wish I had kept it " in 99 % of the cases ....... do we never learn ??

25-35, 30-30, 32 special & 38-55. Range from 1897 to 1906 and still shoot them a lot. The herd has grown immensely since this photo.

I have owned a lot of them but have reduced my collection to just these two now. A '94 in 30 caliber and a moder 64 Deluxe in 32 special. I sold a collection of sixty one pre '64 Winchesters, Remingtons and Savages back in 2012. I don't hunt with these two but enjoy taking them out and petting them occasionally

Sure do I have 2 winchesters and I have Never sold a gun once it's mine I will always have it!

Mine is a 1959 (looked it up) .32 Win.Spl.. My dad bought it for my 1962 Christmas present after I blew up his Remington 16 gauge w/choke.

I had cut a slug for my brother to see before we went out to drive for deer. Shot it into the snow. Loaded up w/slugs and buckshot.

Three deer came out near the end of the drive. I opened up on the front one then the last. Thats when it blew up. No choke and most of the barrel.

My dad was surprised as much as I. He went right down to the Ace hardware and purchased the Winchester.

Luck was with me that day.

How about a 1905 Marlin model 1893 and yes in 30/30, I have others including more then one 94 and several savage 99s but the 93 gets grabbed most often, it’s just lucky like this year, didn’t see a single deer all season till I grabbed it for the days hunt on the last day of season

That target was fired at 100 yards and the aiming point was top of the diamond preaty good for a hundred plus year old gun and my old eyes




Not my biggest ever but you don’t spit on hunters luck or a call from gramps gun I don’t know how many deer and other game it has put on the table since my gramps bought it new in 1905

I have my dad's in 30-30. Took my first deer with it. It's a 1929 vintage. Not really the best for Alaskan game so it hasn't been used in close to fifty years

model 94 30-30, killed a few deer with it and hogs too. all I had for many years
