Bauer-type works well with chain...even double loop twist link chain. I made several using 1" square tubing and a short piece of 3/4" flat metal welded on (bend down slightly after welding on and drill hole near end to attach 3/16" quick link for trap chain attachment. Cut a shallow v-notch in top of tubing...guarantees snag with no return back up the chain...even on welded link chain.

Bauer locks here. I got them from MTP and use them exclusively.
I have nothing clever to put here.

Any place that sells the Bauer locks now? MTP is where I bought them before.
I have nothing clever to put here.
