We use them as kitchen knives. The Russell Green River blades make great kitchen knives for a very modest cost. They take an edge easily and hold it well.

They take an edge easily and hold it well. yes they do , that is what these will be , my Wife requested the hunter and my youngest the boning knife that hunter has geometry that you just keep realizing is good enough at most everything very much a multi purpose utilitarian knife. Russel has been making the blanks for a very long time and people knew how and what they were cutting back when it was designed. the hunter was my belt knife when I was cooking in a few different church kitchens , nothing was a ton of slicing but lots of small kitchen tasks prepping and serving meals for about 15 people. America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.
