I've read on here about people saying beaver sac oil should be separated by male or female. Is there truth to that or is it a wise tail.

Unless there is specific "specialty use" reason for it or a regional specific diet that could affect the oil odor and wanting it separate, I don't see a need for that. Herd collection oil is still quite effective.

Thanks Bob. It didn't make much sense to me why it would matter but I'm not in the business of knowing why it would either!

I usually keep the sow female beaver's sac oil seperate if I catch her early on during a nuisance/control job. It has enabled me to catch the last 1 or 2 at a lured set. If it's not needed on that job I pour it into my big jar of sac oil.
