I’m in north Idaho and have been getting what I think are pretty quality cat sets out. I do traditional cubbies and I’m in mature national forest. At each cat set I put a marten pole up, I think that’s just the Alaskan in me.

Anyways my question; how many sets are you guys running? I have 14 cubbies out, 12 marten poles and one elevated 220 bucket for cat as well.

hope everyone is having a great season. North Idaho is super low on snow (zero in areas the sunshine hits) and it’s been extremely warm, 40 on my line yesterday.

Zero cat sets. We don't have a season and they are protected. Whan they get into k9 sets we have to let them go.

Been running 12 sets in two area's, just pulled 6 because I met my personal quota for that area.
All walk through sets.

I typically put out 6-10 sets. That will usually catch a couple cats close to home.

Helping others catch cats now. Use to run lots of cat sets where there were no season limits.

It is very different, definitely miss AK and the trapping. But Idaho has beautiful country too. Caught my first fisher ever last week, was able to release unharmed. Thought I had a small wolverine in my set at first.

6-10 sets depending on snow. If there is a lot of snow you can see many more tracks and it will be easier sets and more promising results for ya.

Just caught in yote sets here since you can’t ever draw a stupid tag , 3 this year and 6 last year not even trying

I have 41 sets out, not all are cat specific but most are. I will have to down size next week because of work.5 cats so far 4 good Tom's and a decent sized female. The weather is just now getting right for trapping.

I try for 30-40 sets, haven’t got that many out yet. Maybe by the end of this weekend I will have. I’m in really good cat habitat and have lots of ground to cover.

About 3 dozen traps for me.

I had 10 spots out,for 3 day's then saw a female with 2 kittens at one spots so I pulled out of that spot.So I had 9 spots out for 17 days,our limit is 5 here.
