Any one experienced enough to tell if this is pottery? Tried to get best pictures I could. Found at a spot I find lots of arrowheads.

many times organic matter was put into the clay so then it rots out over time.
some pics of the projectile points helps put a time factor in prospective, and the rims are mostly used in labeling culture time periods

From the layers it appears to be rock.

I have a straight line mound, towards the back of my property, that frequently produces pottery shards, from moles digging in it. The shards are thinner and one layer. I just look at the shards and put them back. On my farm, I only keep lithic artifacts that work their way out. I have 3 spots that a lot of stone artifacts come from. . Nothing from the mound so far.

I have a smaller mound at the very back of my property. My area has the most mounds in the entire US.
