Are there any good 5x5 single spring traps available? Preferably made in USA, or at least settable out of the box. I've been searching but don't see a great alternative. These would be for mink/muskrats. Thanks!

What don’t you like about the Bridger 150s? I’ve put all my 110s aside and have been using several dozen Bridger 150s with great success trapping muskrats. I use the Hagz clips and 3/8” fiberglass rods with the 150s. Very few misses, and they fill the runs nicely.

The last dozen 150's I got were unsettable out of the box. A couple spring eyes not closed and popped off on one end, all dogs needing filed in order to stay set, etc. I understand conibears all need tuning, but I think it's not a good thing when traps are unusable upon arrival, especially if they were purchased by someone that didn't know they needed work. I love the 5x5 and single spring for rats, especially on rods like you said FVWC.

Sniper, I don't see a 5 inch single spring RBG?

That is exactly my set up as well. And works nice for me. The Bridger 150s I purchased did need a lil tuning. But nothing major. Q lil filing on dog was all. And have caught me mink and miskrats

Plains, that sounds like my experience with the first dozen or so 150s I bought. The last batch, not so much.

I do know with my Duke 110s I had to work them out of box. The trigger travel was far too much and had to put nubs inn the trigger bracket. Always option of belisles. But far more expensive. Imo. I look at it like this. For 1 belisle i can have 3 Bridgers. Those 3 Bridger will catch me more fur than the 1 belisile. Assuming they can stay set. Lol

I replaced all my #110s with Bridger #150s years ago and experienced none of these issues. Primary reason I replaced them was the slick way they fit on my KB stabilizers.

Let's hope this is an isolated case.

Went to the #150s for my bottom edge sets on a plate, i love them! That being said it did take alot of tuning to get them mink ready!!
