Barnes is coming through WI January 5-7. Did anyone sell put up coons at the dozen or so stops in MI in December. I have a small lot of put up mostly early November coons with a couple December coons. Was wondering what your break downs or averages were.

Late October caught - $9 tops and down to $1.50 for the smaller blues.

What’s his beaver prices? If they’re not put up, he wants frozen…hard to grade that way.

I'm selling to him on the 7th. But I only have some rats. And about 40Lbs of deer antler.
But I'll check and see what he pays on other goods.

Beav, have you heard any reports that Barnes is paying more for put up rats than Groeny?

Did better than I expected. One thing I would like to stress is how nice Trevor is. This is my third time selling to him. He is a super guy and I hope to deal with him in the years to come.

Too bad Groenwold never figured out the advantage of having a likeable person to deal with. All the way back to when I started trapping his buyers were always jerks.

Very very happy with how I was treated and with what i was paid.

What's so funny?

Some one asked about the difference In price between put up and green skinned rats. It's about .75 cents.
I had the same average that Pat had on my rats. I walked out of there with $400.00 dollars for my deer antlers. He was paying $11.00 a lb for good brown antler.

Trevor is a great guy. First time I met him he just walked up and introduced himself and we had a nice conversation.
I've never had a problem with any Growenwold buyers either.

$17 average on beaver, looks like the put up rats were ok, mink about right, Fisher about right, Otter looks cheap. 2XXLG size otter at $30? Unless it was very early or damaged.

Just back from Fond du LAC stop where Barnes was buying
I had 18 coons that averaged $6.71 with a $12 top
My friend had 25 coons with a $9 average and $12 top
All coons were put up. here are the break downs 4xl #1 $12, 4xl #2 8 3xl #1 9 3xl #2 5 2xl #1 6 2xl #2 2 So a $4 break on grade and a $3 break on size. Good to see better 2xl coons reach even $6
I had 8 #2 grade coon. 16 of the 18 caught from Oct 30 to November 16th.
