I ordered this back in September after my go to Osage self bow blew up about a week before deer season opened. Made by Copper County Bows out of the UP. Great guy to work with. He actually glued up a second bow for me after the first one came in too low in draw weight. This one draws 49# at 28". Red elm limbs with bocote veneers, wenge riser with maple and walnut accents. I can't wait to shoot it.

Really nice looking bow. I hope you get or got a deer with it. Sorry about the self Osage Orange bow. Have you read Ryan Gill's book, The Secrets & Science of Primitive Archery? It really opened my eyes on a whole bunch of related subjects. I don't know of anyone else doing what Ryan Gill has done with primitive and traditional archery.

Nice looking bow. They are much more pretty than one with wheels.

Um, arrows? LOL

Wood. Not sure exactly what it will like. I've got a bunch of arrows of all different types. Once I find what spine, etc, I'll most likely order some shafting and make up a couple dozen. Been hearing lots of good things about surewood shafts, might go that route.

If I knew how to shoot one of those I'd buy one. Beautiful craftsmanship.

It just interesting to see what people shoot out of trad bows. I shot surewoods for years. I think they are some of the straightest shafting made. True shaft out of BC is good too. I liked true shaft because the sitka spruce was a tad lighter but still strong. Good for 3D. I went back to DF though when i started making my own.

Fir is on my short list also. I've shot those out of primitive bows before. Made them out of fir lumber. Nice wood for sure.

I really like ash, but it doesn't like to stay as straight as fir.

Beautiful bow.

I wish my shoulder could still handle a long bow.
