Does anybody know how to remove paint off traps. I am planning ahead to the end of season and I want to wax them. Do I wax over paint? Wax vs speed-dip? Also what is the easiest way to remove rubber off of rubber-coated chain?

Soak for at least a day then wash off. Worked for me.

I've waxed over a few of mine and it seems to hold up quite well, even after a catch.

I got back into trapping with the idea of not making any money and so far have been quite successful.

I really can't see any advantage In putting one coating over another.

So your saying, Beav, that I paint it or wax it? Should I wax over paint so it looks better?

What I'm saying Is I see no need to put one covering over another. If the paint Is doing It's job why cover It up with wax.
I tried to wax over paint one time and the paint was scorched and ruined the wax In my wax pot.
My Non canine traps are all painted with acrylic latex paint. It works great. My canine traps are all powder coated.

Look up powder coating. It's a coating you have to have done by a company that does this process.

Powder coating is a type of coating that is applied as a free-flowing, dry powder. Unlike conventional liquid paint which is delivered via an evaporating solvent, powder coating is typically applied electrostatically and then cured under heat or with ultraviolet light.
