I'm not very good at cat and canine track ID. I think it's a bobcat that followed a coon up the creek.

I see a partial print that could be a cat but the rest are canine and coon.

I see a cat track and some coon tracks. It seems to me those tracks other then coon tracks are to round to be canine tracks.
But It's hard to tell for sure.

It looks like a cat, coon and red fox print to me. The cat print is to the outside and the coon and fox seem to be running the same route.

Thanks. I put out 2 550s, 2 450s and 2 DPs along the creek. I did 2 dirt hole, 1 blind set, 1 walk thru. Got another question for Ya’ll. When you bait with beaver do you just cut it off the bone and use chunks or do you grind it up?

Fresh beaver is either chunked or used hole. If I grind it it's for me y season

Years ago, I had problems using chunk bait. Coon & Canine would hook chunk with toenail and pull bait from dirthole, without trap being fired.
Grinding bait solved this problem.
My take- With paste or crumbly bait, animal works to get a morsel or every morsel while spending more time at set, giving trapper a better percentage of a catch.

*It's been a long time ago when I used chunks bait. Looking back, my dirtholes were too shallow. Easy for predator to hook bait.
I do dirtholes deeper nowadays but get lazy at times and some holes may be shallow. In any event, I still use ground bait, a paste bait that sticks to the bottom and sides of a hole.

You know it seems there is a shortage of possums this year. I only got 4. Last year I had 15 by now.
