Any of you who know me or have read my stories should know the infamous "trestle fox" that left tracks on a train trestle every morning during trapping season. Pop and I saw them as did Arnold and his trapping partner who trapped the same area. No one ever seemed to try to catch the fox, and Pop told me one day I would know why, and he never told me his own personal reason.

I was out in that area for Christmas and Dad and I went down those tracks and crossed that trestle, It had been replaced by a steel grate walkway rather than the old wood walkway, so we couldn't find track there. BUT, as we looked on the rail, there they were fox tracks walking on the railroad rail, then once over the trestle just as they always did they were gone. It was very nice to know that foxes still walk that trestle in the predawn darkness still, and I hope Pop sometimes still walks those tracks as well.

Sadly the tracks are hard to see, but they were there.
