Makes sense to me.
I used to hunt a lot back in the day before COPD .
And the way he describes the drivers slow and not pushing hard is the key.
Granted it becomes more of a meat hunt , IMHO , as a deer is a deer.
I always wanted a big buck , but would take the meat before a rack.
Filling the freezer was more important.

We have met the enemy and the enemy is us!

Meat is why we do late season drive.
Very seldom do we see a big buck.

swampgas chili and schmidt beer makes for a deadly combo

You have to remember that 1 out of 3 Democratic Voters is just as dumb as the other two.

Finally have snow cover.
Good time of year for scouting.

I have to walk, too lazy to sit full time.

I don't care either way about the topic of driving deer to a bow hunter. They need killing. They are food.
But did Bucknbears just admit to being a smart idiot. That sounds like a bad combination to me. smile

I have been a part of deer drives using a bow in the past We killed a few deer and missed some more And quite often it turns out they slip by and no shots are taken They are as many ways to do the same thing as there are people willing to try it .For example I really enjoy jump shooting ducks as I walk along a stream By moving slowly and stopping often to use binos to watch ahead I often see ducks sitting in coves or places they fed Now is the time to use the terrain and cover to get uptight to the ducks sitting n the water Ducks see well and hear well so it takes real skill t get within shooting range Some die hard duck hunters feel the only sporting way to hunt ducks is with decoys and calling them in Others will gladly be a part of pass shooting them I say if it is legal and fair the right to do it s the way that meets your need on any given day .Why miss out on a goodtime based on some one elses point of view.

I've been in on well over 100 deer kills by archery. Done right, very effective.
