Might be the warmer weather but they are off pattern from past years today my good cat creek had a pair traveling together not that big litter mates still together my guess. They cut across the end of the creek instead of running the creek. At least this colder weather has them moving some.

My side of the river location they are not on the creek like in the past but running the rim of the draws I came across a nice size track today 3rd time doing checks. Stormy start to the week and a cold front rolling in that might drive them down to the creek then.

Lots of bunnies in both locations so they might be eating good I’ll toss another set on the rim of that draw the next round.

Don't remember a cam ever scaring a cat but it looks like this one did?

Got one to walk in the cage in just 4 days of being set.

Save the land, resist against developers!!!
We don't need more houses.
I've lost too much trapping land to new housing developments.

I don't believe cats know why their patterns change. I have noticed house cats will keep returning to a spot they caught something long after there is not another prey animal. Dogs do the same thing. MAYBE those two cats caught something one day in a different spot than you are used to seeing them.

This was the place that had a cat visit 2 days before opening day it’s not been back yet. I’m hoping the storm that’s rolling in forces the cats back down to the creek. The cats are crossing the rim in the same place I’ll put a set up there next trip in just incase they keep working that edge. There’s an old slide area just below that rim.

Next trip I’ll take that bright flashing cam down and I’ll put a set where they are running now. It’s a slide ares that’s turned into a protected flat just below the top of the draw lots of yote and cat traffic this year.

Seeing any signs of early breeding? Usually when that happens things get weird.
