If money is not a big factor, would be nice if people would give a few guns away to young boys n girls.

I'm passing plenty on to the female grandchildren and male grandchildren. No reason the girls should be left out

why does it have to be a male? granddaughters might appreciate a gun also.

My will and our great attorney will dictate where my guns will go. Some relatives will get a100 dollar check and nothing else. My Grand daughter will get the ones she uses when we hunt together. Ny son and Grand son want my traps John Boat and supplies. Most of the family already knows what they get and where they stand.

Just to be fair to everyone W must keep in mind that daughters grand daughters and sisters and their family might be thrilled to te end of time to have a gun that was yours at one time I had 2 older brothers and 2 older sisters when I was born Then my family doubled in size with 4 more sisters an another brother . I was not until I was in my 40's that I ever gave a thought that some of my sisters would have been happy to hunt or go to the range to shoot Poor reflection ob me to be so close minded about such a thing .

I am not sure of tax laws but I believe if it’s in a will it may incur inheritance tax. To be on safe side I plan on giving my valuables to family before I die or have private letter with wishes of distribution. The bigger picture plan is to die with almost no property or money. Enjoy life now with kids while still able. As I age and health changes I plan on liquidating all assets to cash to avoid taxes and burden on family of dealing with my stuff.

A couple summers back I went and picked up a bunch of my dad's guns. Gave a bunch to a nephew that appreciated them, he was really thrilled and I have some lugers, p-38's and such that I want to trade/sell and get some guns I really want, then my kids can have them after I'm gone.

I think that's wrong, but you should ask a qualified tax professional for advice.

I put everything in a trust. When I tip over my kids dont even have to go to court. Not sure how its done in other states. I wrote a list. My son will distribute stuff like firearms.

I had 3 tables at a Gunshow in West Fargo N.D. on Sat and Sun. I took 31 guns, hoping to sell 10 to 15. I came home with 34. I know what was I thinking. A guy came up and said he had 7 guns in his pickup. And wanted to know if I could put a price on them. Sure, bring them in. Everything was old and in rough shape. I said Its hard to price guns that have rust and wood stocks all beat up. I asked him what would you be happy getting. He said he would like to get 750.00. So I purchased them all. I had some 0000 steel wool and some breakfree. I took a Remington Speedmaster and started cleaning it up. It looked really nice after about a hr. I took it home and pulled the trigger group out and put it in a pot of boiling water for about 20 mins. It came out clean as a whistle. Put a little breakfree on it. I put it together and put 5 rds in it and shot them just as fast as I pulled the trigger. I took it back to the show on Sun and had a guy offer me 500.00. And it was gone. I then started cleaning on a Winchester 77. It sure is looking good. I also got four single shot 22's, two Remington Scoremasters that should clean up real nice and a Marlin 1896 pump 12 ga with exposed hammer. I couldnt even get the bolt to come back on it.

I sometimes think I should take 50 or 60 of them to a auction house and let them sell them.
